Job searching can feel like a haunted house full of jump scares: rejections, uncertainty, setbacks, and the constant pressure to keep going. These can take a toll on how we think and feel.

The Art of the Comeback is an interactive workshop designed to help job seekers build practical skills for navigating those "spooky" moments. Rather than focusing on thinking positive all the time, this session explores how we can become more intentional about recognizing negative thought patterns, pausing, resetting, reframing setbacks, and deciding what comes next.

Through personal stories, simple brain-based concepts, and hands-on exercises, participants will build their own Resilience Toolkit and practice four tools:

• Catch the Thought – recognize the negative story your brain is telling you.
• Build Your Reset – identify personal strategies that help you pause and shift your mindset.
• Rewrite the Story – look at setbacks through the lens of learning and what may be possible next.
• My Next Move – focus on one small, actionable step within your control.

Participants will leave with a 7-Day Resilience Experiment they can use to put these tools into practice during their job search—and beyond.

Because you don't need to be positive all the time. You just need to get faster at finding your way back.
